Fitted & Bespoke Kitchens in Tavistock, Devon & Cornwall
Handmade kitchens and expert fitting, done properly — across Devon and Cornwall.
INTRO
A kitchen is the room a house is built around, and it’s one of the most satisfying things we make. Whether you want a full bespoke kitchen built from scratch or a smart, well-fitted range installed to last, SD Carpentry & Construction takes on kitchens of every size across Tavistock, Devon and Cornwall. Because Sean is a qualified carpenter, the units, worktops and finish are handled with a joiner’s precision — the doors line up, the joints are tight, and the details are right.
WHAT WE TAKE ON
Every kitchen starts with how you actually use the space, so we plan it around you before a single unit goes in. From there we can do as much or as little as you need — from fitting a supplied kitchen to designing and building one from scratch.
For the trades a kitchen needs — electrics, plumbing, gas, tiling and plastering — we bring in trusted local specialists and coordinate everything, so it’s one team and one point of contact from start to finish.
Work we regularly take on includes:
● Full fitted kitchens, supplied and installed
● Bespoke, handmade cabinetry and units
● Kitchen islands, breakfast bars and larders
● Worktops fitted in timber, laminate, stone or composite
● Door, drawer and worktop replacements for a fresh look
● Appliance integration and second-fix carpentry
● Knock-throughs, flooring and building work, coordinated throughout
HOW WE WORK
Every job gets the same approach: careful measuring and preparation before anything starts, honest pricing with no nasty surprises, and a site left clean at the end of each day. You’ll deal with Sean directly from the first visit through to sign-off — no call centres, no being passed around. And because the business is carpenter-led, the cabinetry and detail that make a kitchen feel properly finished are done in-house, to a standard we’re happy to put our name to.
WHERE WE WORK
Based at our workshop in Tavistock, we fit kitchens right across Devon and Cornwall — including Okehampton, Yelverton, Plymouth, Callington, Launceston, Gunnislake and the villages in between. Not sure if you’re in our patch? Just ask.
